Greeting mountain hut / Rastötzenalm

Alm flair and cozy conviviality characterize the Grussberghütte directly in the Rastötzenalm.

Hearty homemade drinks and dishes, especially our Kaiserschmarrn, as well as a family atmosphere surrounded by beautiful mountains invite you to linger. A rushing mountain stream attracts children to build dams. Cows, pigs and dogs love to be petted. A specialty for refueling is our tasty alpine breakfast, which we also prepare for groups by arrangement.

Almost traditionally, the Almklassik takes place every year in late summer in the Grußberghütte. This unique sound experience of the Hofgastein Kurorchester at 1700m above sea level paired with the breathtaking view of the Gastein mountains is unparalleled in Europe.

Various alpine products can be purchased to take away in our small farmer’s shop!

Open daily from mid-June to early September and in good weather until the end of October. In the low season we ask for a short call!
